There are Two Options:

                                          Mac or PC

A Mac can only hold 1.5 Gigs of RAM and this may not be enough for productive work. Consider that the OS and Applications need RAM to operate you are working with a little over a GIG.

When you open up a large file, you are drawing upon a great deal of RAM usually twice that of the file. It has been said that you should have 3 times as much RAM as the size of the file.

That is why we built our TITAN Workstations. They can handle up to 8 gigs of RAM. At Present they utilize DDR RAM, which is twice as fast as MAC ram.

They are also build with a multi drive array for very fast performance and a comparable in price to a MAC.
