American Imaging Corp (AIC) development of Inkjet Inks
"Seeing is Believing" Call or Email us and we will send you a set of samples. Understanding UltraMax II: UltraMax II was designed with Brilliant Magenta, rich long life Yellow, Deep Cyan, Neutral Lt Black. Dynamic Photo Black, and the deepest Matte Black. These inks offer greater depth on Matte and Gloss media. Yellow has always been the weak link in color depth and longevity. The first set of Yellow Pigment inks made by Epson back in the 9500 series utilized a green shade dull, but long life Yellow. It did not have the ability to blend with Magenta to make a good red. Epson then produced a bright Yellow of not so long life, that made a much better red, but greatly decreased the longevity of the ink set. We decided not to compromise on longevity or richness, so we manufactured a unique Yellow by blending special Yellow pigments together. The result is a complete ink set that has Richness, Brilliance and the longest life of any ink set. If you are serious about producing Archival Prints, this is unequivocally the definitive ink set. We did not stop there. We believed that this ink set should be controlled by a better Rip, so we worked with a great team to develop Symphonic Evolution. The combination of UltraMax II and our Rip produces, the finest dot pattern, rich brilliant color, open shadow detail, and pure Black and White prints. What You Need to Know about Epson, Canon, and HP From what I understand about head technology, a Piezo (Epson) head can handle richer inks than a Thermo (Canon & HP). So how do their printers perform? When examining the, the color saturation of these Printers, you may notice the following: Canon shows off images with vibrant Greens, good Blues, and a number of candy mid saturated colors, but lacks in deep rich Reds. HP shows off vibrant blues, purples, and a number of mid saturated colors as well, but also lacks in deep rich reds. Epson's new printer shows of rich reds, deep Blues, and a number of rich colors, but lacks in the Greens produced by Canon. There is a lot more, but mostly unnecessary for the description of color. At the 2007 Photo Expo in New York, all three companies demonstrated their inks on Gloss or Luster media. No images were printed on Matte Media. In order to obtain rich color on Matte Media the inks must be extremely rich and brilliant. Matte Media compresses the reflectivity obtained with Gloss Media. The true essence of an ink lies in its ability to perform well on Matte Media. A Comparison of Color Symphonic UltraMax II 4 color offers brilliant Reds, deep Blues, glowing Yellows, and other deep colors. Symphonic UltraMax II 5 color technology offers Brilliant Reds, Deep Blues, glowing Yellows, deep colors and brilliant Greens. Because of the neutrality of our Gray (Lt Black) it is easy to achieve perfect black and white prints.
