In essence the Copy Camera is similar in concept and ruggedness to the old copy cameras; however, it is smaller and more versatile than those old monsters.
The copy camera is independent of the copy easel and is fitted onto the copy Platform. It is designed with precision horizontal bearing movement on a 5 foot bed.
The digital back is precisely aligned to the lens plane, which maintains precision alignment over the entire 5 feet resulting in a productive means of scanning small and large images.
With simple to use alignment tools the entire unit is precisely aligned to the copy board.
Most cameras were not made to offer precise parallel alignment between the lens and the film plane and any flexing in the back from the weight of the digital back or from the focus movement produces misalignment which results in loss of corner to corner sharpness and un-squared images.
