The Control of
Color Management
| The control of color accuracy is accomplished through the interaction between the RIP and Color Management software. Below are some examples of what color management can offer you. The accuracy of color management is illustrated more significantly in subtle tones, than in solid colors and in the world of fine art reproduction there is an abundance of mixed subtle colors. | |
The below painting contains a variety of subtle and delicate tones in the sky, horse, and background. It has deep brown tones in the dog and shades of gray in the large rock. This is a significant image to demonstrate the control of color management. | |

| Black and White reproductions are becoming more significant to inkjet printing. It has always been significant to photography and fine art. With the use of six color printers it can be controlled to produce any tone of black and white. The image below was printed in RGB on a six color printer using light cyan and light magenta. The light gray tones in the background are created with light cyan, light magenta, and yellow. You can see one of the boys was colored in to prove it was printed in color. Only by making a quality profile can you obtain this control of tonal accuracy. | |
