CAMERA SCANNING BACK

The product we chose for digital capture is the BetterLight Digital Scanning Back. It offers superb quality, reliability, and a fabulous support team. We have produced results with the BetterLight scanning back that are second to none. Simply superb. Paintings with deep shadows and delicate highlights that are difficult to capture on film, are captured with exquisite detail, color and definition with the BetterLight Digital Scanner. Camera backs like the BetterLight are see a very wide band of both infrared and ultraviolet. They are very sensitive to Infrared light and because of that we have created a fluorescent lighting system that has a superior spectrum. The BetterLight using our Master Digital Lights can produce a very accurate reproduction.

The Super 8K can produce a 549 MB file.

The Super 6K can produce a 309 MB file.

Main Features:

With the settings set at around 200 ASA the noise level is gone and exquisite shadow detail is obtained.
The ease and versatility of the software make it very comfortable to use.
You have control over the capture curve, contrast, exposure, and color balance. This allows you to tailor the capture to the image.
An accurate Color Balance is obtained by clicking onto a gray card or a gray patch on the subject. There are tweaking controls to finely tune your subject.
The Software offers digital focus. If you can read numbers, you can't miss obtaining a sharp image.
The Camera back can be used with any 4 x 5 camera; however, if you are reproducing mainly flat art our copy camera would be your best choice.
The BetterLight can be attached to either a PC or Mac
